Yeah, so driving in the Loop immediately after a Bears game lets out is NOT a good idea.

No place to park, plus literally thousands of potential lawsuits traipsing all around your auto.

AND psychotic elderly German traffic cop ladies who offer "lessons in listening to the traffic cop and ignoring the light" and who teasingly threaten to spank you if you don't pay better attention. *eyebrow*

Drove my friend Chris back up to his apartment today. As you can see from the opening anecdotes, it was no easy feat. In fact, it was a non-existent feat, as it didn't occur until later because I gave up and drove to my dorm, and we hung out and played video games and watched Smallville. And then we took the EL (my very first CTA experience, despite having lived in the Chicago area for THREE years!) and hauled his stuff back on foot. Believe it or not, it was much faster than driving in square-and-clover-shaped circles hunting elusive almost-free parking spots and narrowly avoiding killing many, many pedestrians and the aforementioned traffic cops.

My goodness, but those are some doozies of run-on sentences. Such are the hazards of nearly-4 am posts, I suppose.

It was mighty fine to spend time with Chris, though, considering I'd missed seeing him yesterday because someone *cough-me-cough* overslept and didn't arrive in CU until 9pm.

Ahem.

So today was good. Achy shoulders. Not sure why. Perhaps from lugging his printer and duffel bag?

Thanks for tuning in! Be sure to check back next week for more of "Allison's Mildly-Zany Yet Unavoidably Run-of-the-Mill Tales of College Insanity"

Over 'n out.
