Music possibilities
Jan. 8th, 2004 09:48 pmSome oppportunities fade while others crystalize, all of it a symphony of high chimes and triumphant brass and mellow, melancholy strings.
So it looks like I'm going to have to give up Voice for the second consecutive semester. Not only that, but I may have to give up completing my music minor altogether, for the time being.
This makes me sad inside, naturally.
But at the same time, it takes a burden off of me that I hadn't even been aware I was carrying.
Nothing's certain at the moment.
Anyway, that's the fading opportunity. However, I have another to look forward to. My friend Andy has been formulating a plan to get a folk rock band together over the summer, and apparently, he had me in mind.
HEE HEE!
I'm not going to make a huge deal out of this because he would enjoy it too much. :-P
But I'm still excited! Plus, it gives me a reason to keep my voice in shape, despite having to give up regular lessons.
It always amazes me how God brings things together in such uexpected, yet inevitable ways. And when you look back on such convergences, you wonder, "How could I have not seen that coming?" And it makes you appreciate His perfect foresight a lot more than your own, humbled hindsight.
