I cannot believe it's already here: National Novel Writing Month

Last year, I made tentative plans to participate in this year's hoopla, but I completely forgot about it, and now it's HERE again. What do I do? Do I sign up at the last possible second and attempt something for which I almost certainly don't have time, energy, and inspiration? Do I not sign up, but participate independently, despite the fact that it would make it easier to just give up because "Hey, it's not like I was really doing it anyway"? Do I let it go and just hope for next year?

Decisions, decisions....

Maybe I could use this as a kick-starter for the book I want to write about Nancy and EB. I could set a reasonable goal and try to meet it, instead of scrabbling to reach the daunting 50,000 word mark.

Or maybe I could go back to eating this delicious sandwich and hide from everything that challenges me.

*sigh*
