General Life Update
Nov. 29th, 2005 01:05 pmSo life is interesting these days.
Thanksgiving was nice and low-key. Just family this year, but we managed to keep the squabbling to a minimum. Towards the afternoon, my dad and grandpa pulled out a box of old family photos and geneological records and labeled everything thoroughly for posterity. After reading about an ancestor who founded a town in the original colonies and traded with Indian chiefs, I'm in love with my family's history.
My brother Cameron and some of his friends are making a cartoon short for a contest, and they seem to be really into it. I think it was due yesterday, so send hopeful thoughts his way.
We finished Battlestar Galactica Season 1, and I'm wavering about downloading the next season and skipping ahead. Although, it's so much fun watching with the group, unspoiled, that I may have to suppress my instinct to inhale the next season. SUCH A GOOD SHOW.
Speaking of BSG, I'm now dating Eric, who put the whole thing together in the first place. (And he is awesome and funny and adorable and ...possibly reading this, so I'll stop now to preserve what little dignity I have left. Ahem.)
Did I mention life has been interesting lately? :-D
On the family medical news front, EB got his most recent CAT scan results back. Not only is the chemo not working, it's wiping the floor with him. So he made the decision to stop. It's sad, and I think Nancy's taking it harder than she expected, but at least he'll be more comfortable from now on. And I'm going to be there whenever they need me. FYI, if you're trying to get ahold of me, and it appears I've dropped off the face of the earth, I'm probably at their house or taking N shopping. (Or on a date with Eric. Hee!)
Unfortunately, I have to catch a bus now, so thus endeth the update. I hope everyone's well, and that I hear from you soon.
