Hello hello! Okay, so the California trip was what I would term a 'whirlwind' vacation. It crept up on me and pounced before I really had time to prepare, and it was over before I had really processed that I was in California.
But it was good. We flew out of Indy, which meant El Cheapo long-term parking, and let me tell you something, when Indy decides to go Economy, it goes for broke. ...No pun intended. Anyway, we got to the airport on time, and had about two hours to kill, even after the ridiculous security check. I had forgotten to leave my pocket knife at home, so that went bye-bye. And I had to check my bag, which I did before changing into my nice travel clothes. I was peeved. And the airport staff did their normal sub-par check of Eric's wheelchair, evidenced by the fact that no liquids are allowed on planes right now, but they completely overlooked the fact that Eric's cushion is made of gel.
But anyway.
We had a three-hour layover in Phoenix, and this is the sight that greeted us:

That made up for a lot.
( How I Learned to Stop Sweating and Love the West Coast )
This is getting kinda long, and I haven't even gotten to the photos of the main reason we went to California: Jeff and Steen's wedding.
Therefore, this'll be continued in tomorrow's post.
And by the way, the kittens are sacked out on my bed and twitching in their sleep. SO. FRICKIN'. ADORABLE!
