Princeton, March 2007
Mar. 23rd, 2007 03:46 pmOkay, so the "Hey, we want to meet our future in-laws before the wedding" bonanza went REALLY WELL!!!
We went out Monday and got back Thursday night, with delays both ways, but we expected that. If you're going to be flying any time soon, just remember the Liquids rules and understand that you WILL be delayed. People can get so cranky when planes leave late, and I just can't fathom why they don't realize ahead of time that it's GOING to happen. The airline industry is at the mercy of the Air Traffic Control rules for flight safety. If they gauge that it's not safe to take off or land, you WILL NOT take off or land. Why is this a problem? Would you rather risk a terrifying, fiery death? I would rather be late, or plan ahead of time for the delays, than be dead. Just a personal preference.
Woo, tangent!
Anyway, we arrived some time after midnight, Eastern Time, and Eric's parents were waiting up for us. They did the meet-'n-greet thing, and we crashed. The next morning, all the parents got up disgustingly early and were chatting away over breakfast by the time Eric and I wandered in. (Which reminds me, Eric's mom cooked the whole trip, and every meal was delicious.) The parents all got along freakishly well, which is great, and a relief.
Tuesday and Wednesday were spent wandering around Princeton, and it was fun!
( Pictures! (Not dial-up friendly) )
That's it for now. I didn't actually take that many pictures this time around. No pics of the in-laws, for example. Not even any of Eric's Dad's artwork. What was I thinking?!?
Oh well. Too late now, I guess.
Hope you enjoyed, and I'm glad to be home!!!
