UNIX MANUALS SUCK

...

I was going to say "Unix sucks," but it wasn't true. Unix is pretty stable, considering its dinosaur status.

No. It's the instructions left behind for users that really bite. They ALL, without exception, assume you know certain basic things about Unix.

Even the official Unix User Manual.

Like, how to get back to the command prompt if you somehow get stuck in the middle of a command and you can't exit.

(By the way, the answer to that problem, I found thanks to computerhope.com, is CTRL + C to cancel current command)

Also? Hyperventilating when the whole office is depending on you is not a good feeling.

Saving the day - EVENTUALLY - is pretty cool, though. It'll hit me in a bit.

Right now, I'm just trying to restrain myself from bashing in the Unix server.
